How we work / Collaboration and progress

Keep the work open to review.

A useful working relationship makes progress visible. We agree what is being undertaken, bring decisions to the people who can make them, and review the evidence needed to move the work forward.

Discuss your challenge

01

Know what is moving, and what needs a decision.

The working rhythm is agreed for the engagement. It should give your team enough visibility to assess progress and respond when priorities, dependencies, or findings change.

What you review depends on the engagement. In Consulting, it is the findings, options, and reasoning behind a recommendation. In Solutions, it is the working change and evidence that it is ready for use. In People, the working relationship depends on the service: your team directs a contract specialist’s contribution, selects a permanent hire, or agrees employment responsibilities for an EOR arrangement.

Agree the assignment

The deliverables, assumptions, dependencies, and responsibilities, including the information, access, and decisions your organization will provide.

Review progress

Work completed, findings, unresolved issues, and the next increment. Use the relevant output—a recommendation, working change, candidate assessment, or agreed employment arrangement—as the basis for review.

Make a decision

The options, recommendation, decision owner, and effect on scope or timing. Record agreed changes so the next step reflects the current position.

Accept the work

The criteria and evidence for acceptance. Depending on the work, these may include stakeholder review, user tasks, test findings, reconciliation, or operating checks.

Prepare the handover

Documentation, access, user guidance, operating procedures, unresolved items, and the people taking responsibility after the engagement.

02

The handover should be usable on the following day.

The people taking over need to be able to use and maintain what has changed. Documentation, access, and guidance should help them carry out the relevant tasks, understand unresolved items, and know who can make the next decision.

Where ongoing support is included, its scope, hours, and escalation arrangements are agreed so the team knows where responsibility sits after handover. For a specialist placement, the client directs the person's contribution under the agreed working arrangements.

Next step

A working relationship starts with the people involved.
